South East Area Transit provides curb-to-curb Demand Response services to those individuals in Muskingum, Guernsey, and Noble Counties. Transportation Services are provided Monday through Friday between 4 am and 6 pm. SEAT uses a range of vehicle options, such as SEAT buses, Contracted Agency Vehicles, and Private Vendors in their personal cars.
All of SEAT-approved drivers, including all agency and private vendors, maintain a high standard of background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and specialized training for transportation of passengers based off of Federal Administration and Ohio Department of Transportation standards.
SEAT drivers are to provide safe transportation for you. No SEAT driver may act as a personal care attendant or enter a passenger’s home. Personal Care Attendants are not approved under the General Public Program, and all passengers must pay individually for transportation. If you are elderly or disabled and need a personal care attendant, please see the information on our Elderly and Disabled Program.
SEAT schedules a large volume of trips and is limited to the number of available vehicles and drivers. To ensure your trip will be scheduled, please call in advance. Trips are subject to denial if a driver or vehicle is unavailable. When calling to start transportation or reserve a reservation, please call our Transit Center at 740-454-8573 and select option 1.
